How To Ask Who It Is?
Ok so someone has my number and has texted me but i'm not sure who it is, but see all my friends inc. me write our words a certain way (im not gonna tell coz its like a secret that only we kno ya know) any way someone sent me a txt and im not sure who. I want to ask them who it is but without the awkwardness you know so how would i do that??

Just ask point blank. Or wait and see if anyone got a new number or anything. If you don't know the person just ignore the message and act like you never got it. If they ask, just say you never got any messages.

just say that your phone is broken and you had to take it in to the store and they didnt put all the numbers back in or something.... just ask who it is, it's easier. Just make sure to apologize that you didn't have their number if they seem hurt.

Here's how - "umm, I can't read the message, who is this? Can you send it again?" And be sure it isn't some kind of telemarketing, or phishing scam.

call them, but do it with *67, so they cant see your number. if they pick up, see if you recognize the voice.
