He's a happy kitty. Different breeds of cats make different noises. It's called chortling. My cat makes a sort of chirping noise when she's happy.

maybe your cat is happy. All cats make like a weird noise when they are sleeping they snore and when they are happy they make sounds too. To let us know they are happy or upset. Cats may not be able to talk but they communicate with us through sounds they make.
