should i be thinner or fatter getting a rib tattoo?
I'm 5'8" and weigh 125 lbs which makes me at a normal weight, i'm planning on going down to 120 lbs, but I'm planning on getting a rib tattoo. I'm a little nervous because it's the most painful and I was wondering if it is better to get the tattoo after I go down to 120 or stay at 125 because I'll be a little thicker get the tattoo and then lose weight?

5 pounds shouldn't drastically change you and depending on where you lose it some times that doesn't make much of a difference. If you have bony ribs then you will feel some pain. Just try to relax and breath while they are doing your tattoo, don't tense up that makes the pain worse.

I'm not sure why but for myself, it was easier to get tattoos skinnier than heavier. When I was chubby it seemed like my fat areas were sensitive and the areas where the bones were closer to the surface were easier, and its stayed true as I lost more weight.

you're skinny. you don't even need to loose weight. but if you do, wait until after the tattoo. the skinnier you are ,the more it will hurt.

fatter, the more the skin is stretched the less it will hurt because the pain nerves are spread out more.
