Does the Numark IDJ3 require speakers?
I recently bought the IDJ3 and there is no sound comming out from my computer. I have it connected to a power source and it is hooked up to my computer. There are speakers connected to my computer, but there is no sound coming from them. Does the IDJ3 require speakers connected to it directly or should it be playing through my computer's speakers?

Yes, the IDJ3 has its own "USB sound card" built in. When you plug it in it becomes the default sound output device. You'll find two outputs on its rear panel, the usual "RCA" red and white jacks for stereo right and left. These have to be connected to an amplifier, and the amp to speakers.
You can change the default sound output device in your OS, but if you change it so it isn't the Numark then the Numark's functions (like the crossfader) might not all work.
