Is it true that when you've stopped questioning yourself, you have stopped learning?
That's what my professor said. He says people who never admit they are wrong never grow smarter.
He says even as an old man he still gets many things wrong. He once believed that women could never serve in the police force. He once believed the civil rights movement was wrong(He was a police officer then). Interesting criminal justice class.

Your professor is smart. That's why he's a professor.
No matter what your age, you never stop learning.
Always question what you do.Other factors may influence this.
What impact will your actions have on those around you.
The social impact. Is what you do acceptable or not.
I would think your professor has seen a lot of changes in his life time, and he too, is still learning.
Good on him - I would think you would have good classes.
