How can i become a fire bender? ?

So i even had a famous mentor, but he didnt seem to be cutting it. And idk why, ive practised for almost a year now. Also, i tried learning the dragons technique but i couldnt find their location. Help? Advice?

I'll teach you.

First soak your hands in oil or other flammable substance then light it with a lighter. Get it on video then post it on youtube and put the link here. I need to see how yo properly handle fire with your hands first.
