Can I use my xbox 360 headphones on xbox without connecting to xbox live?

I want to use my xbox 360 headphones while playing a game. So I wanted to know if I can use them without connecting to xbox live?

    You sure can it should work without connecting to xbox live

    You will be able to use them, but if you talk into the microphone, just don't expect someone to talk back....but anyways, the sound should still work.

    Should work.. you can't talk to anyone though lol but if you have turtle beaches, yes it works..
