Warm the bottle and shake it then squirt some of the milk on your wrist. It should be slightly warm.

The source is breastmilk, and body temperature is 98 degrees. But formula is offered at room temperature in the hospital.

Nothing for a baby should be warmed in a microwave as it can create hot spots and burn the baby. Likewise, formula should not be offered if it is warmer than body temperature. That's why people check it on the inside of the wrist to check the temperature. You can easily feel if it's too hot.

About 98 degrees. It makes sense that a baby would drink body temp. milk. Breast milk is body temperature.
