itouch battery help ?!?

I was charging my new itouch, the plug on the top right battery showed up, but the big battery in the middle is not fully green; It's was either 30-50% full!

So I reset the itouch and plugged it back in, now it's around 80% with a lightning bolt.

Is that a problem & should I go back to the Apple store ?

Update:

Oh, i charged it for like 3 hours or so... and no progress -___-" the battery is still 30-50%

It doesn't seem like there's be anything wrong with the iPod itself if it's brand new. However, you could have had a an issue with the grounding on the power outlet you used. The outlet could POSSIBLY have overcharged your AC adapter, and then the battery cells on your iPod. If it turns out this is true...

1.IMMEDIATELY contact an electrician to make sure that there is nothing wrong with your wiring or outlets. It won't take them long to tighten your ground screws and make sure your breakers are working properly.

2.Your iPod warranty probably hasn't been voided, (Unless you jailbroke it) so you can take it back to the Apple store and have them take a look at it so you can get back to playing Angry Birds as soon as possible. : )

So your iPod may be defective, or your electricity setup in your home may be, either way, your iPod is going to be fine.

I don't think there is a real problem; you probably just need to charge it fully.
