Christians: How many believe in a literal version of the Noah ark story?

This is a really interesting discussion of the whole thing:

http://ncse.com/cej/4/1/impossible-voyage-noahs-ar...

The ark was supposedly 450 feet, length over all (LOA), but ...

" ... there was an "upper limit, in the region of 300 feet, on the length of the wooden ship; beyond such a length the deformation due to the differing distributions of weight and buoyancy became excessive, with consequent difficulty in maintaining the hull watertight."

A substantial proportion of the inbred Kentucky population, including their governor. They're even willing to shell out tax dollars.

Only water can preserve dinosaurs and lost cities.

Theories of an enormous meteor hitting the earth causing mass destruction killing dinosaurs, changing weather patterns ya da ya da is even more preposterous. Where is evidence of the meteor?? Millions of miles in the earth surface????

Dinosaurs, ancient species and lost civilizations are being found intact in excellent condition. Only water can move settlement/land preserving fossils. Noah's story sells much better than a comet or meteor.

Jesus believed in the account of Noah.

Matthew 24:37-39: For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be. 38 For as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; 39 and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be.

I believe there was a catastrophic flood in the region (known world) and lots of people died as a result. A guy with a boat was able to save his family and livestock. Oral tradition took care of the rest.

I believe in the literal Noah's Ark. If you can believe in the world created itself, I don't know why it is so difficult to believe in Noah's Ark.

I do believe it. With God, all things are possible. We're talking about the same God who raised people from the dead.
