iPhone 4 or HTC Desire Z?
im an owner of an iphone 3G and im tempted by these two phones. On one hand ive got a good history with the iphone, apps, contacts and sync stuff but the htc and android looks like a cool new experience. i kind of like how the android seems more "tinkle-able" and not as secured as the iphones.
who has something good that will tip the balance? any juicy good bits?

Desire Z and Android ALL THE WAY
Customize the phone how you want-such as live wallpapers, back grounds
Expandable memory
removable battery
More choices for features and phones and prices
Better processors out thats better than the iphone
No bluetooth transfers on the iphone with out being jail broken
Free google nav
Widgets
you can "facetime" aka video call over 3g not like the iphone having to be in a wifi spot for it to work
not tied to itunes like a dog to a tree
Oh and Steve jobs don't tell you what to do with HIS $800 iphone.

It depends on what you want more: stability or freedom.
The iPhone isn't as "tinkerable" (unless you jailbreak it) but Apple's stricter development guidelines do a better job of ensuring that what you're downloading from their store isn't going to break your phone (the app might not work well, but that's more the developer's fault). If anything should go wrong on that end, you're covered under warranty and the process is largely hassle-free.
Androids do offer a lot more freedom, though, and you can do a lot more with that OS because they're not nearly as strict as Apple is. You do have to be a little more careful with what you download and what you let it do since as far as I know apps don't get pre-screened.
Neither is better or worse, it's all what you want to do with your phone. They're both great platforms with different strengths.

imo HTC Desire Z, primarily for Android. It's up to you though based on what you want
Ease of use, "Sexiness"- iPhone 4
Customizability, features- HTC Desire Z

Iphone 4. I agree that the android is more "tinkle-able" because it belongs in the toilet.

Look around you, count the Iphones and ask yourself if you want it. If you are really interested in what you get for your money, go grab something else. Telling him to go for a dual core is quite...risky...since they havent been tested yet (battery uptime etc).

Desire. More freedom to do what you want with the phone. I don't understand this cult surrounding a phone which won't even allow you to change the battery.
