Yet another in a long line of whiners about their mommies and daddy's forcing them to go to church when they were little.

These guys need to get a life. They invariably point out that religion is a lie and then make unsubstantiated claims that this is proof that God doesn't exist.

The existence of a God would not depend on whether religion is a fallacy or a fact.

If I told lies about you would that mean that you were not real.

Don't listen to these cry baby clowns. You make yourself look dumb and you aren't.

Those of us who choose to believe in the probability of a higher power do so based on a number of reasons and although they may not be in the realm of Christopher's thinking, they none the less exist. His rationalization for denying or debunking has no more value than that of any Atheist on this forum or others; it's simply the way they believe. And as you probably know, we all believe based on faith, whether you follow the word or run from it, faith is the reason we think, believe and choose to be the way we are. No matter if it's science, ancient writing or a simple need; faith is believing in something that can not be proven (science is proven theory only).

So Mr. Hitchens does not scare the hell out of me, rather; I am sad he has such a limited time here, he has so much to give us.

Note: I did not see the you tube article:)

    not at all

Romans 8/38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

if God be for us, who can be against us? our Lord is an established fact and i think it is pathetic people are still debating wether or not He existed... persuade me that Jesus Christ did not shake the earth and ill let you know what i am afraid of.

Nope. He is just a rude limey. LOL. I'd fix the bugger if he said that to me. Otherwise, he can rant away Nothing but a windbag.

I pray for him. He's definitely not doing so well. Hope he recovers and repents.

Uhhh... no. I love listening to him speak. He's talented and intelligent, but wrong. He has no more logically valid points than any other atheist.

And I love him on the Bill Maher show, when he calls Bill Maher's audience "stupid" for continuing to laugh at Bush jokes.

Hitchens is unique among modern atheists because he primariliy argues from moral (not scientific or philosophic) conviction. This should indeed give Christians pause because it forces them to choose between defending God and defending the church. Unfortunately for them, in most of the Hitchens debates I've watched, they choose to defend both and it has been a disaster for them. God deserves defense; the church does not.

    Scare me?

    NO.

People like him pop up throughout history.

    He is amusing.

Even more amusing are the fools who accept him as some sort of prophet.

Nope... In forty years this guy will be dead, while our love to God will be alive.

Besides, he is not the first one to defy God...

Proverbs 27:11: Be wise, my son, and make my heart rejoice, that I may make a reply to him that is taunting me.

No, of course not. He's honest, and straightforward, and amenable to reason. I reserve "scare the hell out of me" to those who have weapons and anger.

Hes a bi-sexual and hates the Church because of it.

He is also dying a very painful death from Cancer and we should all pray for him.

    Peace be with you
