Why hasnt the media reported about this example of "green energy" FAILURE?
Whitelee wind farm near Eaglesham in Lanarkshire which, at 140 turbines, is the largest of its kind in Europe – however, Whitelee and its like are being criticised by sceptics who say the recent cold, still weather has challenged wind power’s output claims. (The Scotsman and Iberdrola)
Scotland’s wind farms froze up in the record freeze this month forcing the government to rely on power from French nuclear plants.
The Scotsman reported:
SCOTLAND’S wind farms are unable to cope with the freezing weather conditions – grinding to a halt at a time when electricity demand is at a peak, forcing the country to rely on power generated by French nuclear plants.
Output from major wind farms fell to as low as 2.5 per cent of their potential generation capacity during the cold snap as power demand rose to close to the highest level yet recorded, new figures have revealed.

Or the BILLIONS wasted by the Obama administrations green jobs BS?

I am all for green energy but I do not think wind farms are the way forward as it requires 40,000 wing turbines to produce the energy generated by 1 nuclear power station if the wind is blowing.
There literally is an unlimited energy source out there that would power the planet for as long as mankind will exist on this planet. Its called Nuclear Fusion.
We currently use Nuclear Fission which takes a huge atom, like uranium, and split it up which releases huge amounts of energy. Nuclear Fusion takes a small atom, like hydrogen which is an unlimited resource, and fuse it together to make bigger atoms which again releases massive amounts of energy, the biggest example of nuclear fusion in action is the sun. However more research is required to make it work on an industrial scale however it may take along time to make this possible.

It doesn't matter
File it under R&D Learn what needs to learned Improve the product and move on .
Reality check gramps
Planet Earth is a closed loop system and if we keep using finite resources at an exponentially increasing rate then we must inevitably run out of those resources

Gee i don't know maybe cause wind turbines in Scotland freezing during an ice storm isn't interesting enough to become international news.. Yea that's what happens when they get too cold apparently. What's your point?
Clearly Scottish media is reporting on it.
I sure hope you aren't trying to play Mr. Conspiracy Theory about this. yeesh.

Nothing new, depends who you listen to. The generators can only work within certain limits. Wind too slow or too fast. Outside the useful limit they are a waste. Nuclear is the only way with sun and wind for the greens to keep them happy.

A wind column down the Midwest, nuclear power and drilling our own oil for everything else.

Judging by the news article that you just posted, it looks like the media did report on it. Maybe no one cares.

That's not a "green energy" failure dufus. That's HUMAN ERROR in not factoring in the Scotland climate.

You already know that it doesn't fit their agenda.
The truth is, there is no energy system that is ready to replacy what we have. IF there was, a company would jump all over it. There is too much money to make off of such a concept.
But as we know, "clean energy" or "green energy" just means "government run energy."
