Isnt it noble of (so called) actor Ben Affleck to lecture about greedy corporations?

in his NPR interview, yet he never mentions the gigantic salaries paid to "celebrities"?

Ben Affleck makes 37 Million dollars a year (for some reason).

AFFLECK: That speaks so perfectly to people's feelings about our country. It's like it's just about getting by, or people can like let people go if they can get away with it, that there's no deeper sense of right or wrong. The banks shouldn't -- people shouldn't make such a giant profit off just moving money back and forth. And CEOs' pay shouldn't be 200 times the average worker. It used to be nine times.

U know, he's a mediocre actor, but I liked some of the topics so I saw them. Why can these people just act & leave the politics out of it? Now there's another actor I can write off.

Those gigantic salaries paid to actors are paid by people like you and me who go see the movies. Those actors earn that money and the majority of them actually put a lot of that money back into helping communities. Ben Affleck has the right to say what ever he wants in his interviews.

    Whether it's "noble" is doubtful.

And maybe Afleck is a hypocrite, which is what you're implying.

However, I think what he's saying about corporations is basically correct. And I think it's useful that someone with celebrity status is pointing it out. Even if he's a hypocrite.

Since Affleck is self employed, he pays more taxes than anyone in america.

Self employed people pay 50% more in taxes than someone who works for an employer for the same wage for no reason.

affleck is talking about the guys that pay his paycheck... (which also may be somewhat odd)

if you think affleck makes a lot, you should see what they make...

as Chris Rock said... "Shaq is rich, the guy that signs his paycheck is wealthy"... and clearly Affleck, although very douchey, is talking about the wealthy...

Why do you care what Ben Affleck says? I certainly don't.

It's stupid...and we people with common sense are all making fun of him.

It's just some guys opinion. I don't consider it lecturing when you give your opinion, so I don't see his that way either. He's just famous, so his opinions are more widely distributed. Doesn't make him a bad person.

Just another example of the blatant hypocrisy of Liberals.

They cry and whine about the very corporations that bring them extreme wealth and success.
