Yeast bread question?
I want to make a version of monkey bread that I saw on America's Test Kitche (or Cooks Country). It's a yeast bread. If I want to make this for breakfast can I prepare it through all the steps then put it in the refrigerator the night before? It's just too time consuming to do in the morning with all the rising and other steps? I was thinking the same with bread? Can I make the dough the night before if I want to bake it in the morning?

sure you can.
you can make the bread up to the last raising and then stick it in the fridge.
In the morning, first thing is pull it out and put in a warm place to raise and all you have to do is have the oven ready to bake when it is finished raising.
It will take longer than if you were raising it when the dough was room temp but it also raises a little while in the fridge.
In fact, some artisan breads are made in exactly that way. The head baker where I work makes Vienna bread that way.

you can refrigerate the dough but you will still have to remove it from the refrigerator for one hour - cover and set in warm place before baking. this is necessary for it to rise.

With some types of bread you can do that, I just make it the day before, then heat up slices in the toaster or oven.
