Complete System reset?
So i want to restore one of my computers to complete factory default. (all files/programs removed, windows completely renewed).
So in a nutshell, i want to perform a master reset. I know how to do this initially. Back up the files, install a new version of windows (using the windows install disc), reinstall OS, etc, etc....
BUT, how does one go about doing this without a windows disc, or using system restore.
Thanks.

make sure your bios is set to look for boot device from cd first.
also make sure you have updated drivers to hand ( very important )
then when ready boot from the cd with the xp setup disk and follow the instructions to format and install xp. after install xp, istall program which you want.
