How can I convince my parents to let me go to a New Years Eve party?
there's a new years eve party tomorrow night and i really want to go. I already asked and both my parents said no!
there isnt going to be any parental supervision but im not gonna go wild and get completely wasted !
yes there is going to be alcohol, and most of the people there are going to get pretty drunk... but i dont drink so they shouldnt worry about me.
i'm 14 if that helps... but i really want to go, all of my friends are going and they're all telling me to come, i asked my parents during dinner time and they both just said no right off the bat, without even thinking about it or talking about it.
i asked them why i couldn't go, and i didnt even get an answer.
how can i convince my parents to let me go... i'll stay safe, im not going to get drunk and do stupid things, i'm going to be responsible.
cause not like drinking is the only way to have fun at a party.
i'm going to talk to them again tomorrow, and try to get a reason.
but sneaking out isn't an option for me, there is no way i'll be able to without getting caught. =/

Tell them that by going to that party your either gonna show them you can be responsible or irresponsible. Or tell them your young and you want a little freedom because your not getting any younger and you want to be able to say you had fun in your teen years when your an adult not say it was boring because your parents were very strict.

I've never been to one and I'd wish I have or invited to one.

They're not going to let you go. When I was fourteen, I was like that too, honestly. But, legit, booze isn't the only thing they have to worry about. Even if you're not drinking (and, even if they trust you, there's always a chance that you're lying), the people around you are, which puts you in danger.
I mean, you can present your case, but they won't give in.

Make sure you get a reason why they dont want you to go. If they still say no reassure them that you are not going to do anything bad. If you run out of options just sneak out..
