Do not use those perfumed baby lotions, they are nothing but water and perfume. Instead do what you are doing with A&D ointment or invest in Eucerin or Aquaphor to use often. Cream lotions work much better on very dry skin. My son has eczema and his skin also gets very dry from the heat being turned on this time of year plus his breathing treatments for asthma. The Dr recommended the Eucerin and Aquaphor and now I use it even on my dry skin. If you apply right after a bath it is great to lock in moisture. Throughout the day you can apply as needed and I apply it right before bedtime as well.

My son had the baby acne pretty bad but it cleared up in a couple of days with breastmilk. Seriously, the Dr. Even told me to put it on there. If you breastfeed just put some breast milk on his face (and anywhere else) and it works wonders. Good luck.

My baby had that problem and the doc recommend something called Palidon.. It might be spelled wrong. But I use the Baby butt creme brand lotion and now her skin is no longer dry.

Apparently this is normal my babies skin flaked as well it's caused by hormones from mum in babies body just like cradle cap. Apply olive oil and massage in this is the best moisturizer and it's all natural. No need to wash it off let it sink in and wash baby at next bath time.
