Are gold buttons classic or tacky?
I've recently become enamored with the idea of owning a trench coat. I love to look of the classic, khaki/toast colored, double-breasted Burberry trenches, but I don't have $600 plus to spend on a coat. I've scoured the internet and found a few promising designs (London Fog and DKNY Abby Zipper Trench), but its a bit late in the coat season and no one seems to have my size (small) in the color I want (khaki/toast).
My mother suggested I look at QVC. Doubting the fashion sense of QVC, I begrudgingly poked around on their website. I found an Isaac Mizrahi design (http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.deta... that looked fairly similar to the Burberry design I loved so much. But, the buttons are gold! At first this was a huge turn-off, but now that I think about it, I am not so sure. I want this trench to last for years, unphased by the seasons' trends.

I think they are classic. It brings back a style I am very fond of . I am usually not a fan of gold but on that coat they a definite yes.

i think of gold nail polish is in all risk the main state-of-the-artwork colour, different than purple. however, the flickers are a tad... iffy. For Broadway regardless of the incontrovertible fact that, the flickers in all risk complete the look, as long as they're saved to a minimum, and are form of like... hidden flickers. Make experience? Haha, yet like I mentioned, for Broadway, i think of they're suitable.

its really depends on what and how big they are and what they look like

I think that with this design (and color) it looks very classic. besides gold makes you look rich!

Depends on the style! Think gold buckles with an anchor on them -- classic preppy style!

It all depends on the trend! These ones don't look too bad but if you change your mind, you can always change the buttons cheaply and easily!!

Deff classic! Sometimes they can be tacky, but they go perfect on that jacket! :)
