You can also get a chip re-setter for the cartridges so you get full ink level readings.

When you buy ink buy the bulk sort and get it so that it is for the model printer as the colour match will be better.

When I get a new printer I get a piece of paper towel and bad each of the colours on it and write OEM on it. Keep that sheet as your colour swatch for when you buy new bulk ink.

When you get the bulk ink dab a small amount on another sheet and write which one it is. Let it dry then compare with the original. It might take a while to get the right ink but once you do it will give so much better results.

Don't buy photo colours as these are lighter and if your printer does not take a photo color it will be a terrible result.

Chip re-setter. Its the one for the CLI-520/PGI-521 (also called CLI-220/PGI-221 depending where youy life) The other one is for

different cartridges.

Printers With Refillable Ink

What you need is Photobrite Inkjet Refill System. According to the manual it is compatible with Dell, Hewlett Packard (HP), Lexmark all other cartridge. The instructions can be found at the link down below. I've been using this system for about 3 years now with my HP Deskjet Printers and the replacements from my personal experience do not horibbly distort your printed text when wet.

Hope this helps. There's an expiry on every ink jet. once it does not expire you can continue to fill it.

PS On The website after you choose which language you want (I think it's english or spanish), you'll be transported to a list of printers and by extension print cartridges that the system can be used with and there are A LOT.
