This web site is much better at explaining it than Wikipedia.
Basically, Pantheism is a spiritual path that is essentially atheistic, in that we do not believe in a sentient god. The main difference is that we find a profound and deep sense of reverence and awe when it comes to Nature, Science, and all things real in the Universe.
We don't worship, we experience spiritual wonder at the incredible results of evolution, of Natural Selection, of the intricacies the way things are.
There is a wonderful little book called Elements of Pantheism that goes into a lot of detail to explain the origins of pantheism and the different types of pantheism, but check out the web site, I think you will find it much more accessible and informative.

The basic belief of Pantheism is that everything,(the universe, nature, etc..) and God are the same, or identical, meaning God is in everything, and everything is God.

Pantheism literally means god is everything (PAN - all, THEOS -God).
The belief basically states that everything is in essence God. Everything from rocks, to animals, to trees, to human souls, are all a part of a divine force (usually impersonal; not a white bearded guy).
Examples of pantheism would be...Taoism, some forms of Hinduism, possibly even Buddhism. Here's a little analogy.
For Theists (monotheists/personal Gods like Allah/Yahweh), God created the universe like an artist painting a picture.
For Pantheists (impersonal "Gods" like Brahman, Tao), the picture paints itself, and everything in the picture is a part of the "God" which created it all.

Wow, you're right that's a confusing definition.
However, it's a confusing subject. Many people have rejected the god concept for a more esoteric concept of matter/energy/some other connection between us, and each other and perhaps other matter, space, time etc.
The variations are endless, Pantheism is trying to explain a subsection of the New age religions, although according to the wikipedia entry, not so new at all.

It is a doctrine that equates God with the forces and laws of the universe. Also the toleration of worship of all gods. Stick with the one true God that sent Jesus Christ in the flesh. And proclaim this one and only true gospel to yourself and others. Here it is:
Repentance toward the Father, and faith in Christ Jesus.
He died for our sins, according to the scriptures.
He was buried.
He rose again on the third day, according to the scriptures.
The gospel. Full and complete. Front and center.

basically, they say that everything is god & god is impersonal. that means we're god, the world is god & the entire universe is god. But the true God is the creator, not the created. Satan is god of this cosmos since this universe is fallen into entropy. The true God is Holy, eternal & sovereign to everything.
