Car very loud and clicking noise?Read details.?

Have a ten year old Toyota camry- does seem to start and run ok for short drive ( 1 mile) but very,very LOUD and making a clicking noise? This car 1 week ago ran quiet but was shifting funny at higher speeds- I was going to change the Transmission fluid ( very dark) but didn't and now this?

What do you think it could be?

    Not very descriptive is the clicking coming from the motor or the tranny ?

    Motor: possibly Timing skipped, Clogged oil passages causing valve noise, bent valves or damaged piston

    Tranny: could be bad torque convertor or valve body damaged or internal damage
