I found a site last year with some really nice original instrumental compositions (mostly guitar) but can't remember what it was.
We have a few million visitors to our site every year - we're not going to create an overnight sensation but any artist we use will get their name in front of a few people.

you could try http://stockmusicboutique.com/ - they have some very good tracks you can use legally in videos, there is also a small free selection of tracks.

If you intend to "broadcast" the sounds you find in _any_ way at all, you will have to use royalty free things, or run the risk of a lawsuit. There is a difference between "royalty free" and "free to download" - make sure you understand it before getting into legal trouble. A lot of "free" media available on the internet actually means "pirated/stolen". Be careful. Rawlyn.

all you're going to find is some real cheesy stuff
all the good stuff is protected by the copyright laws
giving an artist credit, means nothing
