Palladium virus software pop up. I rebooted, hit F8, click on safe mode/networking, but Palladium again?

Even after I boot up in safe mode, the computer screen still has Palladium start in safe mode on the screen. Can someone help?

Update:

Using the HOLD CTRL, ALT, DELETE to bring up the task manager. Then click NEW TASK, type in REGEDIT, click OK. When the REGISTRY EDITOR comes up, click on EDIT/FIND. Type in the word PALLADIUM. It will search and then highlight any thing that is associated with Palladium. Right click, then delete this item from the registry. Go through entire process again until no more entries are found. In addition to this, I found that I had to use the TASK MANAGER to delete PALLADIUM under processes found at the top of the task manager window. There is a warning that comes up, but it was necessary for me to delete in order to be able to use the task manager. I did not lose any data.

I just removed the "Palladium Pro" virus from my brother's net-book computer. At first nothing worked, I couldn't remove the program from the "add/remove programs list", when I tried opening the Task Manager (aka Ctrl+Alt+Del) it wouldn't open, I couldn't delete it in the system files, the system restore would fail because the program was running, and I couldn't get online for help. I did find out that it is going after your private information. This virus is normally brought through fake email attachments, malicious downloads or some other form of Internet-based source and will cause your PC to run much less reliably and really slow. The virus appears to be a virus scan giving out bogus results and trying to trick you into buying the $70 software to remove the "viruses" you have. DO NOT BE FOOLED!!!

I had to start in safe mode with networking

->You can do this by pressing F8 repeatedly during start up

***If you have windows 7 and F8 doesn't work open your start menu, type "msconfig" in the start search bar and select the icon when it appears, under the "boot" tab check the safe boot box then click the "network" button select apply and then OK. Select "Restart" in the Pop Up.***

->When your computer comes back on enter your password if necessary and log in as usual, things will look a little different but they are supposed to.

->In order to stop the pop ups (even in safe mode) hit ALT+F4 until all of the open programs close.

->Use "Ctrl+Alt+Del" to open the task manager, go to the processes tab and end palladium.exe if it is still running.

->While still in the task manager window click "file" and then "new task" in the window enter "http://trojan-killer.net/download.php%22 this will start a SAFE download of a 15 day trial version of a real anti-virus program.

->I ran the program 3 times on my brothers computer just to be safe. The first two time is found and removed viruses. The third time it was clean.

->Restart your computer in it's normal mode and enjoy!

***If you had to use the MSCONFIG directions above you will have to do the following, otherwise your computer will continue to start in Safe Mode each time you turn it on. Go back to the start menu and type "msconfig" in the start search bar as before and click the icon, this time stay in the "General" tab (not Boot as before) and select the option "Normal Startup" select "Apply" and then "OK" and reboot when it prompts you to do so...Viola, all better!***

    1. Restart your computer. Once the "Palladium World's leading security solution" window comes press Ctrl+Alt+Delete or Ctrl+Shift+Escape. You should now see the Windows Task Manager or a screen where you can select the Task Manager to be run.

Click on the Processes tab. Then click and highlight palladium.exe and click End Task. If it asks you "Are you sure you want to terminate the process?" click yes (or press Enter). This will close the ThinkPoint program.

    2. While in Windows Task Manager, click the File -> "New Task (Run...)" from the menu on the bottom right. Type in explorer.exe and click OK. Your desktop and icons should start up as normal.

    3. Run Internet Explorer or any other browser and download free anti-malware software from the list below:

    MalwareBytes Anti-malware

    SUPERAntispyware

    Spybot S&D

    Hitman Pro 3.5
