    Favorite Answer

I'm assuming you mean books that I've read in 2010, not books published in 2010, amirite?

    Favorites:

    Mockingjay (dystopian)

    Never Let Me Go (dystopian)

    Mordant's Need (fantasy)

Fahrenheit 451 (dystopian ... I try to read this annually)

    Artemis Fowl (fantasy)

    Least favorites:

    Hush, Hush (fantasy)

    Last Sacrifice (fantasy)

I know I named Mockingjay as one of my favorites .... before you shoot me, allow me to explain.

I know there's a lot of discontent about how Mockingjay ended. Maybe you think she should've ended up with Gale instead of Peeta ... maybe you think she shouldn't have had that mind-bender trip. Maybe you think there should've been more action.

But for me, Mockingjay was just right. All throughout the books, I was waiting for Katniss (who, in the first book especially, comes off as a bit of a Mary-Sue) to show some psychological and emotional damage after experiencing the horror that is the Hunger Games. And she doesn't, until Mockingjay. It's understandable for her to almost completely lose her mind after it being under so much duress. It's hard for her to know what to believe in anymore.

More on why I liked Mockingjay:

    Sookie Stackhouse 8-copy Boxed Set

The Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris is truly one of the GREATEST book series I have EVER read (and I read a lot!). Each book is fast paced, clever, full of action, and more action, mysteries galore, love, romance, some sexy scenes (hee hee), and wit, humor, and sass! I got through this series very quickly because I truly could not put the books down. I would try and try to stop so that I could "save some reading for later", but I was just so addicted to the series and was always left wanting more by the numerous cliff hangers that I could NOT stop!
