How much can I realistically upgrade my Gateway ZX4300 all-in-one pc?
I've had this pc for probably going on 3-4 months now and its been relatively nice with little issue in terms of general multi-tasking speed, etc
Well...when I got the pc it was because my old com i've had for years finally gave out and i needed a new one...but i didn't take much consideration into longterm when buying this pc. The sleek design and features sold me but as some time went on i began to get alittle more into gaming, but with a computer like this..there is obvious limitations.
The specs on the computer are pretty basic.
Ram- 4.00 Gb
Processor- AMD Athlon II X2 235e Processor 2.70 Ghz
Os- Windows 7 X64
Video Card- AtI Radeon HD 4200
I 'm aware of the limitations a all in one has in terms of upgrading due to space and cooling, etc But I was wondering what I could realistically look to upgrade this pc to within its limitations of course in terms of Ram,speed and video card.

The ram is probably gonna stay, but you could bring it up to 8GB but it could require buying all new sticks or just 2 depending on what Gateway used in the machine. It would not make much of a difference even in gaming. It would help the machine if you were into video editing though. You can also upgrade the processor as that is one of the major slow-downs. However, it is a big hassle and if you arent knowledged and ready to get your hands dirty, it isnt realistic. The video card is the most helpful upgrade. For basic gaming, you can buy an ATI 5770 or a GTX 450 or step up to a 6850 or gtx 460 depending on your budget. Overall though, its gonna be one biigggg upgrade and at that point, it might be better to sell and start anew perhaps by building your own pc designed for gaming at your own budget. Whatever you end up doing, good luck and I hope it works out.

Pretty sure those all in ones have CPU and video card soldered down so you won't be upgrading that. Open it up to see if they are soldered down.
There are a few ZX4300s. This one already has maximum RAM of 4 gigs.

So nothing to upgrade.
