What could it be if my engine starts to sound very loud and whining noise?

Car used to be always quiet and run ok - started getting very loud and while driving sounds like a whining noise ?

What could it be?

    could be air licking or maybe the belts

    It could be anything with a bad bearing, or a bad belt. If you remove a belt and the whining stops, whatever the belt operated needs to be examined further.
