How do I send an email with embedded images?

I want to send out a newsletter via email. I want the newsletter, complete with images, to appear as the email itself. I do not want the recipient to have to open an attachment or a link. How do I do that? Is there a program I can buy to do it? Can you do it from Hotmail or Yahoo email, or do I have to use another email program. I am in California so it has to be a program that works here if that is relevant. I appreciate any help and suggestions I can get on this. Thanks.

I'm not sure if you can do that with every or any email program or not; I tried with Yahoo and could not. However, you can do it with Incredimail. It is free and you can transfer your other email accounts to it (though I could not transfer my Yahoo account). It is free, although I think they do have a professional version. I would suggest you check it out; in a lot of ways I find it much nicer than any other email program as it has neat backgrounds, emoticons and notifiers. It shouldn't make any difference if you are in California.
