Why are TSA agents ignorant?
Just wondering.
I wasn't being a pain I witnessed an incident with some soldiers at the airport and just thought that TSA handled to situation ignorantly.
I suppose I should add a bit of detail, two soldiers had prosthetics and I would assume were leaving Walter Reed and TSA wanted to confiscate the prosthetics I didn't really understand why, they didn't even inspect the limbs till their supervisor came over and told them to.

I travel a fair bit and have not had an issue, maybe it is you that is being a pain.............
edit then what did you see / explain a bit more perhaps.
edit : in that one case then you might not have seen it all happen but I feel that some of the TSA people could have lessons on how to do things in a better manner........for instance I was travelling with my parents.....my dad was in a wheel chair for ease of transportation and they wanted his jacket off, he was trying to take it off but it appears NOT quick enough for them, so this guy stepped forward to "assist" but bent his elbows the wrong way [they do NOT bend normally any more] I very nearly slapped the taste out of his mouth and told him I would do it and it would take as long as it took..............if they wanted to take the limbs wtf did they expect the men to do without them ???? again I go back to the thought that SOME of them could have a few lessons in "life" along with trying to abide by the rules...........

Is this something you observed personally (TSA agents) or something one of your friends told you about.
Are you saying that the TSA agents themselves are ignorant or you do not agree with the policies which were created by their supervisors in Washington DC?
I put a link below with their job description which includes the required training. Hope this helps provide you some new knowledge or information on TSA agents.
Ignorant –adjective
1. lacking in knowledge or training; unlearned: an ignorant man.
2. lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact.
3. uninformed; unaware.
4. due to or showing lack of knowledge or training.

Most are not. But the ones who are it is because of low, pay, lack of training, lack of good quality supervision and a daunting mandate to keep ALL of the air travelers safe, including ones who act like a$$holes. How would you do that job differently?

They aren't.
