Update:

Can you tell me which laptop would have the best performance and reliability based on its brand and specifications? I know Sony is a luxury brand when it comes to laptops, but the HP offers more. Which one would you get?

Update 2:

The reason why I don't buy Apple or the Asus G series is because I have a price range.. Both these laptops serve my needs and have top notch hardware for a decent price.

The Asus G-series is without a doubt very good. But, it is expensive as well, like you said.

Between the 2 you've chosen, I'd go with the HP.

Both laptops utilise the same graphics card.

The HP has a higher end processor.

The Sony has a higher screen resolution. Then again, unless you're really going to be that particular, it actually doesn't matter much.

HP has larger hard disk drive capacity, double the RAM.

All in all, the HP provides a better bang for the buck. And if you're talking about brand, HP has been a vendor for a longer time than Sony.

Besides, it IS CHEAPER than the Sony. And, I never liked the Vaio keyboards, if it is the ones that have spaces between the keys.

The only plus for the Vaio is that it comes with Office 2010.

And, err... OK, enough said! I think you know what to do! =P Good luck on your purchase!

Source(s): Mmm.. The information you provided..? And info I learned from www.mysuperpc.com I guess?
