my dad just gave me his old ipod touch and i want to upgrade it to ios 3.1 how do i do this.
I have tried going to the itunes store to upgrade it but it says i'm current with the 2.1 upgrade and doesnt give me the option to upgrade further

Connect the Ipod into the computer. When it appears in iTunes it should say "There is a update" then Download it. Leave the ipod connected into the computer when download and it will install on the ipod touch
