A quick perusal will find many that increase the insurance costs.

    - elimination of lifetime limits on insurance policies

    - immediate access for pre-existing conditions

    - extension of dependent care

And that's just in the first 35 pages.

The alleged savings are actually non-existant - they were just lies and fabrications to fool liberals and "journalists".

I was reading the law as enacted, not the bill as voted on.

Section 102 doesn't reduce costs - it says that high risk groups cannot be singled out for premium raises - that premium increases must be incurred by all. That simply means that everybody gets a premium increase.

Section 112 - Guaranteed issue. This also doesn't cut costs for the consumer - it means that across the board increases are necessary.

Section 213 - Can't seem to find this section. What text are you referring to?

Perhaps you should refer to the Public Law 111-148 text, which is what was enacted into law.

The only cost measure that I know of is the Mandate, more people in the pool and the cheaper the rates will be. This was presented to us as fact but in reality, this is just a theory. The thing about insurance is that there is a curve, too few people means higher rates, but too many people means higher rates. As the number of people in a healthcare pool climbs, so does the percentage of actual users.

If the MAndate is deemed unconstitutional, then rates will skyrocket as insurance companies will still be forced to cover "pay as you need" people. Pay one monthly premium, get an expensive operation, then drop coverage. Who do you think will pay for this "pay as you need" system that many people WILL exploit?

There isn't any measures in the law that lowers cost, in fact it was designed to drastically increase coasts and drive private insurance companies out of business so that the federal government could then step in and "save" the public from the "crisis" with a single payer (government) insurer.

Well, the public option would have forced insurers to maintain reasonable rates and a level of quality service (or risk their customers dropping them for govie insur), but that got stripped from HCR - at the insistence of one particular party.

The AUTHORS never cited any such section and now claim "everyone always knew" it would make costs go UP.

If you are an illegal immigrant, the cost of insurance under Soetorocare will be zero.
