How to fix salmon in the oven?
I love to fix salmon - but have only cooked it on the grill with the skin side down on a piece of foil, never baked or broiled. How is the best way to cook this in the oven - for how long & at what temp? Also would love to try some new seasonings - I always grill with garlic & lemon but that is getting a little boring. Any recipe ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yummy Salmon...
Here we go:
First you do not need to defrost the salmon, but if it is its still ok... for the future leave it frozen... it’s easier to take the knife and clean off the scales.
Ok
Take the cleaned fish, crush fresh garlic, and put the garlic and season with salt inside and out lice an onion very thin and a lemon. Lay the onion / lemon out on top of the fish you can discard after your done cooking or leave it for garnish. Cover with foil.
Preheat oven for 10 min at 375 degrees and cook fish frozen 14 min per pound, thawed 7 min per pound...
Now here is the thing if the salmon is more than 3 lbs after 40 mins reduce heat to 300 and finish cooking for 5 mins per lbs( so 5 lbs frozen would take 55min fresh about 40min. ..
Key is to check and see if the skin comes away & the meat come away fro the bone keep covered till sever air tight
..
Taste like lobster... let rest for at lest 10 min before eating

take a piece of foil and pour a few drops of olive oil on it. Put the salmon piece on top. Drizzle a bit of lemon and put half a lime on top. Chop a bit of basil and sprinkle it on the salmon. Wrap the salmon in the foil and put it in the oven on medium temp for 35 minutes. Done.

Broiling is good. 5-10 minutes on each side, depending on how thick it is. Be sure to use a broiling pan with water in the bottom, so it doesn't dry out. Garlic and lemon are best. Maybe try rubbing it down with extra virgin olive oil. Just be careful to watch it, olive oil tends to burn if you're not careful.

Hey, I notice you have concerns about cooking. I just purchased a great recipe book online. Simple directions have me cooking like a real chef already. I am now able to make incredible dishes. Amazingly, my guests are complimenting my food and asking me for my 'secret' recipes.
