When I file BK13, will I still have to make payments on the only car I still own?
I do not own any liquidity or another car. I am allowed to file a BK13. I have no Net Value. Just bad debt that needs to be erased.
It is actually a BK7 that I qualify for.

If your car is worth more than $2,000, you cannot keep it.

Depending on your state you will have different exemption amounts. What is exempt is the equity in the car, if you are still making payments on the car, and your equity in the car is less than the exemption allowed in your state, you may be able to keep your car. But YES if you want to keep your car and the creditor agrees to the affirmation of debt, and the court/trustee approves it, you will have to continue making payments on it.
