And Carmelo Anthony is traded to......?

WHY aren't the Clippers considered to be a serious player in the Carmelo sweepstakes?

Personally (after being convinced by a few articles), I think the Clippers would not only make an excellent fit for Carmelo, but they have the assets to offer Denver a good trade. Al-Farouq Aminu is a promising young player, coupled with a bunch of draft picks, other solid players, and the inclusion of a third team, the Nuggets could cough up a good compensation package for parting with their top player.

All the media hype links Melo with New Jersey, New York, or Chicago but the other LA team (and the glitz of the city) seems to be ignored. Why ARE'NT the Clippers being talked of more?

Maybe I sound too optimistic being a Clippers fan, but I'm pretty sure my other team (New York) can't whip something up, and perhaps wouldn't even want to at the moment. The thought of Carmelo running alongside Griffin and Davis just seems too cool to not be seriously considered.

There are 2 reasons why the Clippers haven't been involved in any trade talks

    1. Melo wants to be in NY. If he wanted to be in LA he would have spoken up by now.

    2. The Nuggets are wanting way too much in return for him. Aminu isnt nearly good enough for them to be of any interest to them. The only way they agree on a trade involving Melo is if somehow LA gets their hands on 5 1st round draft picks or if they were willing to trade Griffin and Baron Davis which isn't happening anytime soon.

He want's to go to new york. Denver wants a lot in return. Knicks know he wants to be there so they are trying to steal him without giving up many players.
