I have just added semi synthetic 5w-40 oil to my Ford C-Max engine (top up)?

I have now found out that Ford oil is fully synthetic 5w-30 so will this give me any problems

if you only topped it up (400ml max) it should be ok, any more then that drop the oil and filter and put the right stuff in. fully sinthetic has much stronger qualities, if its in the engines specs its there for a reason.

No it won't cause a problem. You could probably use semi synthetic at oil changes, but you would need to change the oil more frequently. Fully synthetic is the best at protecting your engine.

no. not good if used for a full oil change but a top up isnt no worries.
