Do you recommend the Canon SD1400 Camera?

I really want a new camera just to take regular pictures like of myself, family, makeup, etc. I'm going to BestBuy today to check out the Canon SD1400(pic below). I just want to know, does it take really good quality pictures? How's the video quality? Do you recommend it? I appreciate your answers! Thank you.

    It would have been more helpful to link us to the specs instead of just a photo.

    Reading a website such as this one would be good for you, too http://www.dpreview.com/news/1002/10020802canonsd1...

    Personally I would NOT want that camera, although I am a Canon girl, because I hate it when a tiny little camera dictates what I do without me having any manual say in the matter. It stifles my creativity and I don't like that.

    However, if you're happy to take little snapshots without much of YOUR input on automatic modes, then you'll probably like it.

    I'd suggest googling for a few reviews to help you decide.

    I would consider its a good camera

    * Smart AUTO intelligently selects from 22 predefined settings

    * New scene modes such as Miniature Effect and Fisheye Effect;

    * Low Light mode for dimly-lit situations.
