These high molar mass solid alkanes are subjected to thermal or catalytic cracking to produce more valuable lower molar mass compounds. The final results are very much dependant on the conditions inside the cracking reactor, but the most desirable products are alkenes ( with double bonds) which are used as feed stock for more complicated polmers and copolymers, and lower molar mass fraction alkanes used for liquid fuels

AS YOU KNOW IT IS A ALKANE KNOWN AS---

    --n--PENTACOSANE (IUPAC NAME)

    IT IS PARAFFINN WAX

NOW ON HEATING CRACKING WILL TAKE PLACE & LOWER ALKANES ,ALKENES

    WILL BE THE MAIN YIELDS

AS IT HAS MORE THAN TEN MILLION ISOMERS . SO IT IS VERY DIFFICULT

TO SAY WHICH LOWER HYDROCARBONS HAVE MAXIMUM YIELDS.
