If Australia was attacked by China and it's allies would the US/EU Respond?
The book and movie by John Marsden, "Tomorrow, When the war began" is about China and a Coalition of Asia countries acting together to take over Australia. They certainly have the population and economic resources to begin a European-Style Colonization of literally EVERY country in the world and my question is would the US/EU respond?
Please make your submissions as long and as detailed as you would like.
If China and Japan were involved in any action together they could literally hamstring the United States by threatening to Liquidated their combined US Debt Assets of close to $1,000 Trillion.
The EU could pose a measured response if they are not to busy arguing amongst themselves (most likely).
As China rises and brings the surrounding countries with it, it is like a mountain rising. Whether the countries surrounding it like it or not, they sit on the slope of rising China and this could mean that eventually they possibly could have USSR era influence over them.
For those of you who do not know, the USSR was able to simply order it's allies to attack and take over another country, for example Poland. Once the country was defeated, the USSR added it as a Soviet Bloc.

The US probably would respond, due to the Anzus treaty, but would be reluctant to without the help of NATO, this is China we are talking about here not Grenada.
NATO, mixed with the fact that Britain would be likely to get very involved very quickly might effect the EU, especially since many Euro-zone nations are now dependant on the UK's non-Euro economy. If Britain goes bankrupt so does the EU and this might lead to many European nations becoming involved.

Australia isn't invaded by China for no less than yet another two decades. a lot of human beings isn't around by then so it extremely is not appropriate. there is no longer lots doubt that China will threaten international peace yet surrounding countries would be better whilst it does take place. all and sundry is frightened of China. Like Germany in WWII if China stomps on a neighbor all of the different countries would be on them.

Yes. They would assist. But, that scenario is unlikely to happen. The PRC has designs on controlling the Indian Ocean, not Australia.

Yes, there is the ANZUS alliance between Australia, New Zeland, and the United States who come to Australia's defense if it were attacked.

The US would do nothing. Britain would eradicate China.
