Need help finding home stereo systems?
I know there are a lot of home stereo systems in the market today and you get a paradox of choice when choosing between all of these home stereo systems. So I was hoping that some of you experts could help me find home stereo systems that is a good buy.
My only requirement for the home stereo systems is that it consists of min 4 speakers as I want somekind of surround sound.
So what home stereo systems would you expert suggest?

I was previously recommend between two home stereo systems and both looked great. So I will recommend the same ones to you.
The first one is the Yamaha NS-SP1800BL and the second one is the Sony HT-SS370. Both have gotten excellent reviews so it basically comes down to what you prefer.
I have put the same links that i got below. Good luck with your home stereo systems.

I would strongly suggest going to your local independent hi-end audio video store as they carry the better brands of equipment, and the salesmen at these stores generally have years of experience. They can help you design a system for how you like it to sound, your budget and the room it will be used in.
Stay away from the chain stores, like best buy, as the salesmen at these stores do not have the knowledge or experience to design a system properly.
Speakers are subjective as we all hear differently but its important to choose the right speakers for how the system will be listened to.

Hi John.....You know the best way to seek a home stereo system is to know what you personally want from the system itself.....EXAMPLES...Whether you like your music loud, what types of genre music you actually listen to,where you live...Neighbours close by(apartment living, condo?) or acreage....hectares even. There are so many factors to consider....So have a think and redo another DETAILED QUESTION.... Do you just want a home theater in a box or do you want a receiver that can range from a 5.1 to a 10.2 and higher lol....these receivers you can run via just four speakers if you would like with no sub woofer/s.....You have not even stipulated how much your willing to spend...lol....So no offence to you but, be a tad realistic in your $$$$ comittment etc etc I can't give a ball park answer......so don't give a ball park question...You have to be realistic ok...Cheers!

I'm no expert, but I have lots of opinions about that. I would suggest you find a decent used Yamaha RX-V663 receiver. It's a basic hi-def receiver w/ 2 HDMI inputs for high resolution video. It can also decode the hi-def discrete audio from a Blu-ray disc. Then look for a Definitive Technology 5.1 speaker system. One of my fav web sites to find used gear is Audiogon.com. Lots of people have put up their older audio processors for sale there because of the latest upgrades in hi-def surround. And I mean it's good stuff too. What sold for thousands a few yrs ago is now for sale at 1/10 the price. Most of what's sold there is top shelf quality from lots of makers you never heard of. Good luck.

Good you are looking at a mininum of £250 however a gorgeous common system would be £600. Go to your're nearest electronics store and have a chat with the staff. I suggest Richer Sounds
