how do i make Dark Armed Dragon less of a dead draw?

To use DAD effectively, your deck has to have a way to control your grave

In one of my decks I run Dark Armed Dragon and I usually get it with the ability to play it immediately or set up for the play. I say usually because no draw is guaranteed; plus he's limited so you only have a slim chance of getting him. Keep that in mind.

Firstly is you'll need to make sure the majority of your cards are Dark type monsters. Sounds obvious but I should point it out. Doesn't mean you can't have other attributes but 80% dark monsters or more is good.

Secondly is you'll need cards to increase draw power while dumping cards in the grave to get ready for your dragon's arrival. Morphing Jar, Hand Destruction are good but there are others you may want to test out.

Thirdly is you'll need monsters, traps and spells that control the cards you can take in and out of your grave, in case you have too many cards; or conversly too little. Removing cards in the graveyard from play is recommended too:

- Plaguespreader Zombie (can take out of your graveyard and special summon to limit cards and set up for synchro)

- Armageddon Knight (when summoned you can place a dark monster in your deck to the grave)

-Dark Grepher ( can discard Lv5 or higher from hand to be special summoned, you can then discard dark monsters from hand to send dark monsters from deck to grave)

-Dark Necrofear (only for fiend based decks) (remove 3 fiends from grave from play to special summon it)

-Skull Lair ( continous trap card that can destroy monsters on field by sending cards from grave out of play equal to monsters levels)

You should also have a Dark Sarcophagus or Different Dimension Capsule for searching purposes. Hope that helps.

well make sure you have monsters in the grave really quickly, and gold sarc will search out that drak armed in 3 turns, soo 3 turns for yur monsters to die. well, ya can always use allure, but that's limited

use cards like pot of duality or different dimension capsule to bring him to your hand and add cards like monster reborn to the deck so that when you do get him you can play him easy
