room colors with black furniture?
im 13 and im painting my room a different color. My furniture is black-brown but im going to change the covers and the curtains so that doesn't bother me. i have a fairly small room and one large window. I'm looking for a room thats going to be calm, reminding me of cruises that i love to go on and a room that is relaxing and a great place to sleep, relax and enjoy the day. I want a color that is calming to the eyeand nothing too shiney or not anything that takes your eyes away from the rest of the room. All i'm really looking for is something that is a great place to spend a day in.

Your best bet would be to choose a color from the blue - green color wheel ...

Hi ?
You have many l options for colors, neutrals beige, soft khaki, green similar to sage , pale blue, lilac , a light grey or light warm yellow. Using a matte or satin finish paint will avoid any shine to the paints finish.
I have used Benjamin Moore paints, which I am pleased with their product. And, they offer a great variety of colors. I would check at the paint store or online at Benjamin Moore for
The Serenity Collection. This collection offers many colors for uses in the bedroom.

try a cool aqua blue or a warm brown.A golden yellow color would also make a room really cozy. You could also try a light green or ivory. If you don't want a very colorful wall then just paint it a light cream color. It also depends on the color/style of the furniture in the room.I am doing my room over and i couldn't choose a certain color so i decided to make it multi color with mostly cream walls and 1 wall with the color of my chose.Hope this helped!Good luck with your room!

White is quite Striking with Black ! Maybe introduce a touch of red into furnishings.Simplicity like a red rose, Black and white pictures will also help room stand out

if your room is small you want to avoid dark colors. Light or pale blue is a calming color, or a soft yellow

Lilac tends to go surprisingly well with dark furniture, and it's a lovely calm colour too :)
