Are there any trains which go from kansas city to wyoming?

I am leaving for a trip soon and would like a train ride all the way from kansas city to casper wyoming. I noticed riverton wyoming had an amtrak station posted on yellowpages or something like it but then amtrak said no train station in wyoming. Please help.

I am sorry, but there is no passenger train service to anywhere in the entire state of Wyoming.

Wyoming doesn't even have any Amtrak Thruway bus service. The closest you could get to Wyoming would be Denver or Salt Lake City and starting out from Kansas City, you would first have to backtrack to Chicago or Galesburg IL and change trains there. From Denver, you could take the Black Hills Stage Line bus to Casper.

Alternatively, you could take the Southwest Chief to Raton NM and trasfer to a Thruway bus operated by Greyhound to Denver and catch the Black Hills Stage line there, but the schedules are terrible -- you would have to wait 8 hours in Raton and then 10 hours (overnight) in Denver to make your connections.
