Nadia's Goodbye - Summertime's End
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySQT8hXCIjM
Lyrics:
I found some perspective gathering dust
In the back of my drawer
I didn't know it was there but I'm glad 'cause I've never needed it more
And I found the letters that we used to write
Just a few years ago
I didn't know things had changed that much but I guess that now it shows
And it's what I make of this
That defines just who I am
And I know your mind won't change
'Cause you just don't understand
And I know the times were good
But that's what memories are for
I can live without you here
I don't need you anymore
Yeah, life was a canvas and we had a brush
And we'd paint our every day
But now you're gone and I'm left with a smear and a thousand shades of grey
So I'll pack my bags up 'cause I'm moving out
By tonight I'll be gone
I'll leave this life and I'll say goodbye
'Cause I am moving on
This is how I leave you behind
And this is how I wipe you from my mind

"The Show Must Go On" - Queen
I absolutely love this song, it's possibly my favourite Queen song. The "epicness" of it all, the operatic backing vocals, the orchestral progression and the Brian May solo... ahhh, I can almost taste it (if that's not creepy). Besides this, Freddie's vocals are just awesome. I remember the story of how they recorded, with Freddie barely being able to walk (this was just months before he died). After being presented the song with its demanding vocal line, he said "I'll f*cking do it, darling" and delivered what is possibly his best vocal performance in one take. He was a truly amazing man.
It charted very well all over the world, especially in Europe, but never made it to America. Somewhat disappointing as it was their last major song with Freddie. Very fitting, though.
