Im really close to this guy..?

So I’m really close to this guy. I’m a girl (duhh) And I like really like him. Me n him have very class together and hell talk to me and ill talk to him. Well mess around with each other and poke and just do little things like that. And ill catch him staring at me from the opposite side of class and ill laugh and smile at him. When him and his gf broke up he came to me on FB and had a little teary face icon thing. Later he said he didn’t really care about her and all. Im his exes really close friend. I really want to ask this guys out. But im really shy. And if he says no I don’t want it to ruin our friend ship. Could you guy tell me if you think he likes me or anything?? Tips? Just stay friends with this guy.....friendship is always the way to start a really strong relationship. And if he the feels the same way it'll grow into something..eventually. Just be patient and wait it out, but for right now make your relationship with him super strong; be there for him and make sure he knows he can trust you and that you can trust him. i say you start talking about how ur relationship goes with him, and try and get him to say he likes you, or you can be bold and just ask him. OR you can ask his friend if he likes you
