On many NASCAR sites we all have seen NASCAR is losing fans. What two things about NASCAR would you change?

Example: Get rid of the Chase. (OK, but not really an answer ) Why is it bad, and what would you replace it with, and how would this benefit the NASCAR experience. My Question, your answers... Kick me around.

Get rid of the chase. Yes some years there is a big points blowout with 3 races to go, but if they have that blowout then they obviously deserve the championship. Being 10th in points at race 26, you shouldn't have a chance for the championship.

The next one would be to get rid of the start and parkers. I realize the teams just don't have enough money and they want to make money, but if you aren't here to race, find another business to try and make money. I don't care if we have a field of only 30 each week, as long as those 30 actually have quality cars. Realistically, we only have about 20-25 decent drivers at most. 25 on back is all start and parkers or just very low quality teams that has no chance. This also shows how making the chase is a joke and how you have to suck pretty bad to not make it. You only need to finish 12th in points out of about 25, which is mid field.

Therefore, get rid of the chase and get rid of start and parkers and teams that can't run a decent speed.

The Chase doesn't seem fair. Kevin Harvick had an outstanding season and deserved the cup...instead, Jimmy Johnson won AGAIN...now I don't dislike Jimmie Johnson, he is a great guy and a great driver...but really, Kevin earned the cup...and almost took it again during The Chase...so in that, I agree with you...

The second change is that the France group et al need to back off and stop suddenly changing the rules , then changing them back again...unfairly penalizing drivers like Clint Bowyer because he was not SUPPOSED to win the 1st race of The Chase (it seemed to be the Jimmie show throughout)...also, that debacle at Talladega in 2009 when the drivers didn't know what to do so just drove in a circle for half the race because THAT MORNING the powers that be told them no drafting or bumping...NASCAR officials are ruining NASCAR...

BASICALLY NASCAR officials are ruining NASCAR. by trying to appeal to a wider audience...I don't like to see drivers treated like trained monkeys...they are athletes...

Stop allowing drivers to benefit from the "Lucky Dog" where they can get lost laps back. It doesn't seem fair to the drivers who have not lost laps to have someone who was slow or made costly mistakes extra chances for a win. Realistically, a team-mate could cause a caution to put his team-mate back on the lead lap. This could happen easily if they were both laps down and one had no chance of competing for the win but could boost the chances of the team owner's car to gain points.

Stop "The Chase" and allow the Championship to be won in accordance with a full season of racing where all races contribute equally to the rewards of a teams efforts without just hanging in there racing for enough points to get into the top 12 and give a greater amount of points to the winner of a race. It would be more exciting watching drivers try to win rather than just try to survive with enough points for "The Chase"

Source(s): My comments are based on my own observations of watching NASCAR racing over the years on TV as well as live at the track.

Well for 1 would allow the drivers to express feelings themselves more on the track which NASCAR started doin last year and 2nd would be to not let the cup drivers dominate the lower series, which they as of this year are no longer able to do so i think that they are going to be on the rise again.

they could get rid of the distinctive G-W-C s. A 450 lap race could be 450 laps. It has led to no longer something yet wrecks and tricky cases for the dominant automobiles. Take Kyle Busch @ Phoenix as an occasion, he became ideal the race in the direction of the top and became interior of seconds of taking the checkered flag whilst the warning got here out. Jeff Gordon might have gained @ Martinsville had the warning no longer have come. It in simple terms sounds like its cheated plenty dominant automobiles out of a win. Drivers are perplexed on wheter to take 2 or 4 tires on the top. reason 4 tires relatively will pay off in case you may make distinctive restarts. yet whilst no warning follows after the pit quit 2 might have been the main suitable call to get you up front. It in simple terms seems to very akin to a interest of threat to me.

    1. Get rid of start and park teams. 'nuff said.

    2. Reduce the admission costs for the races (I know the track sets them, but NASCAR gets a big chunk of that).

    3. Stop allowing Cup drivers to compete for championships in the other series. Pick ONE, race in the others if you want, but no prize money, no points, nothing.

Source(s): But I digest...... Just my 2 cents.

I would add in more road races and change the points to give more points in certain races (Daytona 500, Coke 600, Bristol, Indy, Daytona 400, and maybe 2 or 3 others). However, before I did anything, I would put out a fan poll, actually ask the fans to respond and vote on what they want to see.

Dump the Chase. Make the WIN a 50-point bonus over second place. Dump a Martinsville, or New Hampshire race for a road course weekend at Topeka.....

I love Nascar!! & I would let the drivers fight when they wreck eachother haha like Kyle Bush and Denny Hamlin last year. Denny doesn't seem like the fightin kind. And Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson last year haha that would be a fight to see. I hope Jimmy doesn't have a unbreakable winning streak this year :( thats what made it boring.

I don't like it when there is like 10 laps to go and there is a caution. The track is clear and they still run them around until there are only 3 laps to go. I think any caution 10 laps and under, the lap count freezes. Some teams make plans for the last few laps and when those are taken away, you have different winners.
