Anyone having good knowledge about 21/12/2012 claimed to be the last day?
Can someone tell mr about 21/12/2012. I have read a lot on the Internet about it and arguably justifications for and against are so confusing?

I will assume, since your question was asked in Yahoo! Answers UK, that you are writing the date as day/month/year, as nearly all locations on the globe except for the United States typically do. So there is nothing wrong with the way you typed the date.
The 2012 doomsday hoax is a money generating machine. There are insane amounts of money going into the pockets of the people that make the doomsday claims, book sales, movie deals, survival kit sales, donations, etc.
But when you analyze the claims of these people, you not only realize that they don't know what they are talking about, but most of them are just plain and simple making things up...
There is no Nibiru/Planet X, certainly not as massive as claimed and with the orbit as claimed... aside from the fact it would be one of the brightest objects in our sky if it was to get here in a little less than two years, the physic involved with this claimed object would have left clues among the other planets' orbits.
Solar flares / CME? These can and do happen all of the time, more frequently during solar maximum (predicted to be around May of 2013), but intensity is not dependent on the solar cycle. The most powerful ones can cause spectacular aurorae, and occasionally cause problems with electronics, but a city losing power for three days does not end the world. It should also be noted that the upcoming solar maximum is expected to be much weaker than the average maximum.
Galactic alignment? Well, the angels aren't exact, and interestingly enough, that "almost alignment" occurs twice a year, every year.
Planetary alignment? This one confuses me. There are hundreds of solar system simulator available online. Certainly the 2012 doomsters would have realized that this bogus claim could be looked up and refuted by anyone, aside from the fact that gravity doesn't work that way... I though we learned this a few decades ago when the Jupiter Effect ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jupiter_Effect ) did absolutely nothing.
There are too many claims to touch on in one single answer, for the rest and for reliable 2012 info, please visit http://www.2012hoax.org/

The reason why the theory of the world ending in 2012 came about is because of the mayan calendar. There was a mayan calendar that, instead of counting up like ours, counted down, the last day on the calendar being what we know as 21/12/2012. Someone realised this and thought that this meant the mayans knew something that we don't and that they were counting down to the end of the world. However, if they had done their research, they would have realised that the mayan calendar had ended before and started again. The mayans hadn't predicted the end of the world, they had simply predicted that the 21/12/2012 would be the beginning of a new age.

It's quite likely that Dec. 21, 2012 will occur as follows:
A great darkness will cover the land. As the day progresses, a beam of light will sweep across the sky and illuminate the earth with its grand majesty. This brilliance will progress in a fairly large band across the entire face of the earth! All people will see this phenomenon begin, occur, and finally at its end, the land will be covered in the deepest dark.
In other words: night, followed by day, followed by night. umm.... be afraid? ... very afraid..?
There are some interesting things that will occur around that time frame. The most interesting item to me is that the sun will be at its most active part of its 11-14 year solar flare cycle... which means it'll basically be as active as it was between 1998 and 2002 ...when the world ... kept on spinning. There is the possibility that the earth will experience "supermassive" solar flares and an increase in coronal mass ejections, but we have had a number of those occur in the last 10, 100, 1000, 10,000 years.... nothing to get your panties in a bunch over. Granted, we live a much more electronic life now, but unless people react exceptionally stupidly to not being able to use their credit card or call someone on the other side of the planet 5 times a day, nothing of note will really happen on 12/21/2012. The whole 3 years before (as in right now) and after are just as likely to bring "the demise of the human race" that all the wackos out there would have you believe.
Now, with all that said, there may be a self-fulfilling prophecy aspect to all this. Whenever you get a bunch of dumb people doing a bunch of dumb things - all together - it's never good, so do be a little bit prepared, but for no other reason than the issues that result from a runaway "mob mentality" centered around unfounded paranoia.
Hope that helps.
In reference to DLM's post higher up:

I truly do hate to split hairs here, but Jupiter (as the heavyweight of our solar system) does cause a measurable effect on the solar flare activity of the sun. Its orbit causes the (solar system's average) barycenter location to move and has had increased solar flare activity positively correlated with its movement.
With that noted, the effect is _almost_ nothing, not _absolutely_ nothing.
(sorry for the hair splitting, really)
In reference to DLM's edited post earlier up & after reading that wikipedia article (thanks DLM), the "Jupiter Effect" is directly opposite from the correlations I mentioned above. Increased solar activity tends to occur on the "side" of the sun "facing" Jupiter - more precisely: the side of the sun to which the barycenter moves closest to the surface is the side where the increased solar activity has been noted (slight though it is).

If you believe the utter rot talked about 2012, you will probably believe in wooden magnets and cans of tartan paint.
The prophecies for 2012 are lies based on lies. There are no alignments, no predicted solar flares, no rogue planets or any of the rest of the pseudo-scientific babble.
There is no end to the Mayan "calendar" which isn't a calendar but a day count and no prophecy from the Mayans either.
The entire thing is delusion, superstition and lies invented by the reality challenged and used by the ethically challenged to make money from the mentally challenged.
Only the young and gullible, psychotics and neurotics give this mental excrement any credence at all.

Ignore the stuff you read on the internet, it is nothing more than hyperbole designed to scam you in to buying '2012 survival guides' and 'shelters' and to just to generally create panic. None of those websites actually have any reliable scientific evidence backing them up.

i will spend my very final day in this earth looking lower back on my existence and wishing that issues have been distinctive; i additionally will start up wishing i ought to pass lower back in time and alter each and everything so as that my existence must be repaired and so as that i ought to start up making up for this 365 days, final 365 days and all of the previous years i've got lost. when I start up looking lower back on my existence i will basically exchange into much greater depressed than I already am on the 2nd through fact i will basically be reminded of the very undeniable fact that not something stable has occurred in my existence yet that i've got basically had undesirable issues ensue to me, and that i will basically be reminded of ways lots i've got suffered; i will additionally be relieved that my existence is ultimately coming to an end through fact then i will not be depressing or depressed as i would be rid of each and every of the misery and melancholy. after i'm executed being depressing and depressed concerning to the relatively unhappy existence i've got lived, i will write a suicide word to my kinfolk and different companion and toddlers formerly ultimately leaping precise in front of an oncoming practice!

There is absolutely no scientific evidence for anything extraordinary happening in 2012. People "predicting" the end of the world are simply trying to make money off gullible people.

I am neither an astronomer nor a scentist nor also an astrologer nor a journalist to scare public nor a goon to capitalize a volatile situation nor a man of factacies nor a beleiver of orthodox religions.
But I beleive in GOD as I respect science and do not feel ashamed of it to express.
Based on some clues I beleive something would happen or start around that period though it will not wipe out our planet earth.
But I am unable to establish it here on a scientific basis .

First off there isn't 21 months in a year.
To write the month day and year, 12/21/2012.
All I can tell you is to be ready for what may happen or not happen.
Just remember this, it's possible you may not even be alive then, because we don't know when where or how we will die, unless you kill your self.
