Can my landlord evict me for no reason since i am not on a lease?
I told my landlord that i wasn't giving him any more rent until he fixes the windows on my house among other things. now he won't accept my latest rent payment (well he would but when i said i was going to need a receipt he said no) and plans to evict me, he left a fake notice of eviction taped to my door that he made on his computer is that legal? (he thinks it would be better to get rid of me than to have me force him to make repairs that he is legally obligated to make. what reason would he have to not accept $600 cash other than that he plans to lie about my being up to date on the rent as a reason for eviction? and what does it mean that I am no longer under a lease agreement. What can I do about this piece of ****. i have always held up to my obligations this is bullshit what should i do?

Never pay him cash, always pay with check so that you have a record in case he take you to court and lie. If I were you, I would just move out. By law, he should give you at least 2 months notice before he can evict you and he has to file an eviction report at a sheriff office and the sheriff will serve you. He should be responsible for the repair that is on the lease.

You cannot hold back rent because of repairs you want done. It would have to be in the lease which you do not have. Pay him by cheque then you don't need to get a receipt.

You may be a pretty girl and shapely, but remember this, your landlord is a male and he has his rights. Refer to the agreement of your lease, legalities and actualities, identify them. And appeal to his good nature, if he is good and human that is, unless you are what you are. Legal it is, as per his lease or agreement which you agree too ( assumed, cos I do not have a copy of what you agreed to.... )....\
Disclaimer : I am not a judge or a lawyer or a legal responsiblity and you do not have to heed it, but be HUMAN..... This is not a document..... and have no legal grounds for any suit, subpeona, etc........
