What do you want to read about?

I am trying to brainstorm topics for an article I'm planning to submit to a local news website. The stories this website publishes are strictly local; nothing global, national, or even statewide. I'm looking for a fairly narrow topic, but I'm not quite sure what I want to write about. If you picked up a newspaper, what kind of article would most catch your eye?

    I want to know how many people are on death row right now and how long they keep people on death row be for they execute them ?

    also anything with History stories of the past

    and current subjects like missing and exploited children
