Any good BBC radio podcasts to recommend?
I'm not from the UK so I didn't grow up with the BBC but I've heard from multiple sources that just about all of their programmes are great. Yeah, and I listen to the News Quiz and Desert Island Discs and I'd just like to know whether there are any other good podcasts I might enjoy. I quite like comedy and anything really with an intriguing concept.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Blanche.
To be honest, there are many fantastic programmes especially on BBC 4 and BBC 7, so dip in and enjoy! The talk shows, dramas, serials and documentaries are usually of the highest standard, as well as the comedies, so don't restrict yourself.
Currently running we have "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue", the very best of panel games, and "Ed Reardon's Week" which is a more gentle and ironic comedy. "The Mark Thomas Project" is more interactive satire, but still enjoyable.
But honestly, get to the listings and browse away - it is all laid out by genre and although the BBC does support new experimental stuff as well (just as it should!), it is almost nothing but treasure apart from those occasional misfires.
BBC 7 plunders the BBC radio archive for the best of stories, dramas and comedies from the past, so be sure to include it in your perusals.
Enjoy, Steve.
